4x4 Safari: I-Pro App Reviews

Its a great hunting game! However you have to constantly kill animals for time to not run out so its kind of hard to advance in the game. I think there should be a "laid-back" mode where theres no time and you can follow the trials and hunt animals. Maybe even have a specific target animal you have to find and hunt.

full version doesnt have so much different features than free version.

There are a few things stopping me from giving this that 5th star. Firstly I got it with a promo (much appreciated) and probably wouldnt have paid the 2.99 for it but it has since dropped and I would definately pay a buck maybe even two, especially if these extras are added at some point. Accellerometer control option, possibly with gyro as well, itd be like Eliminate Gunrange, but on a jeep while hunting!!! Second, Id suggest a tap to start moving then tap again to stop, or gradually slow down/speed up rather then havig to hold the gas, as Ive missed a few shots trying to juggle between the gas and the gun, either this or some other method if you have any better ideas to solve that, and lastly achievements of some sort, not really needed but always a nice extra having other challenges to do than just the ones in the main game and extra peoples best kills/high scores to compete against.. and umm I cant tell but I dont think it has retina support :P arent I a complainer. To conclude, I got this yesterday spent a good hour with it, and it was really fun, Id definately pay a dollar for it, as I say with some more extra features Id have gladly paid more, even the initial 2.99 IF it had all of the above features included, thanks a lot to the dev for lettin me have the chance to try this one out on the house, waiting for updates so I can toss that last star up there :) dorm3nt

Problems are: Not enough time to hunt. Freezes, crashes, drops to home screen too often. No accelerometer function. Only one weapon. This is based on being played on a iPod touch 3rd gen 32 gig model, that is frequently completely shut down to clear memory. Shouldnt have these problems. What is good though, is the graphics, even though animal details are clunky. But the environment is very pleasing. The music is very safari style and fits nicely. So this will be a very good game, and u like it when it does work. Just a solid update should turn it around. But needs to be updated FAST! Or it will vanish from the app store. I hope the developers care enough to follow through.

The best looking visually and gameplay is by far the best hunting game on my iphone 4. plays like a gem so smooth with so many animals I think they said 11 Ive collected the elephant gun which means nothing escapes my shot unless it runs in front of my my jeep whereby i usually shoot out the windscreen and try not killing the driver as it runs by.

Graphics look really polished, feels in-depth and sound fits the setting. I really love the inclusion of bullet cam effect. Makes those long kills in the game so rewarding. I hope they include the multiplayer soon me sitting with a friend in the back trying to make kills to progress would be awesome. Agree achievements would be a nice touch but can live without till then.

This is easier the best safari and hunting game in the app stope for these reasons 1) you can look completely around you so no set areas whereby you feel stuck and resticted. 2) Theres 11 animals including giraffes and rhinos to smaller animals in the trees like monkeys 3) you get to move through the environment stopping where you want looking around feeling apart of the games rather than just placed in limited areas all pre set. with 2 guns its fun and makes sense thou more would be so sweet, I here they are making a 2 Co-Op online multiplayer update later on which is something you will never get in any other hunting game. its only a buck now worth 3 Oh the bullet cam is candy on a stick. Thanks for the update :)

Very nice visuals, The sun is especially incredible looking. Authentic African sound track really puts you in the safari hunting mood. and there is a cool bullet camera that follows your bullets in flight. Lots of different African animals to hunt, from a 4x4! Two different modes: Hunt and Drive Through. In hunt, you control the movement of the 4x4. In Drive Through, the 4x4 drives itself. You cant steer the 4x4, but it might be hard to steer it and shoot as well. There is a also a nice trophy room but it does not save stats on animals. You only see animal stats when you shoot them. There are 4 animals to unlock and an elephant gun that you can unlock as well! Online multipler, Game Center achievements, gyroscope and different control options, and more are coming in future updates!

Please add weapon variety and a store. Controls could use more sensitivity upclose. Please lose the time limit. You lose 4 stars because it keeps glitching every time I hit a animal from real far away. As soon as it hits the controls disappear and I just watch animals run by and cannot do anything. Beware of that before you buy. Hope its fixed soon.

However, it could be better. Could you please add a sensitivity option fot the controls? Oh, and please, make another game type where you can drive and there is no time limit. Sort of like a free run. Anyways...this is a very good game and i would recomend it to my friends. Good idea. Nice graphics.

Decent game. Controls arent very responsive. Needs more variety to the overall game (weapons, locations, etc.) graphics are nice.

Its got me really hooked badly. All my free time is spent playing trying to get further along the trail, the bullet cam and visual scene is stunning I cant sop playing.

Excellent game, Rhinos and giraffes as well as monkeys and meerkats just to name a few of my fav animals that you dont get in other hunting games, Loved chasing giraffes in my jeep.

Suggestions: 1. get rid of the coin/time limit (this really takes away from my enjoyment and detracts from the games freedom) (at least make the coin/timer rate much, much slower) 2. a. add more animals (quantity and types) and b. eliminate "dead zones" where no kill is possible (and simply to reflect the true "bursting with life" African atmosphere) (there should always be several animals within range, regardless of how many youve shot) (this is especially important because given the current rate at which the timer/coin bank counts down in "hunt" mode, in order to reach the end, youd have to turn the savanna into a veritable slaughterhouse) (I cant count the times where despite the fact that Ive shot everything along the way, I have to watch my coins/time (very quickly) run out because the path narrows, there are no animals, and the jeep apparently has a top speed of .5 miles per hour), 3. get rid of penalty for shooting out the front window--after all, the hunter cannot stand up (100 coins is insane), 4. make controls more responsive (often it is not possible to compensate for the driver, let alone shoot accurately), 5. add a hunt summary and total player stats (kills, shots, accuracy, etc.), 6. make animals continually spawn so that areas dont get hunted out, 7.allow the hunter to leave the vehicle and walk around, 8. add a "spotter" or animal radar, 9. add more weapons and vehicles, 10. if you use the "use coins now" option and manage to reach the end, you should be able to keep/recycle any coins left back into your "use coins now" bank, 11. the bird should land or perch sometimes (how about a flock?), 12. add multiplayer functionality (cooperative in one jeep, and against other players with other jeeps), 13. add more badges and achievements, 14. add an animal encyclopedia. Review: Pros: Excellent graphics, good atmosphere, multiple routes add variety. Obviously, I am a fan. Thats why I took the time to write this review. Cons: In its current state, often frustrating due to the coin/time limit system, dead zones, and penalties. Overall: Has serious potential but requires development. I am certainly willing to add stars to this review after some updates/improvements.

Excellent graphics and loved the atmosphere, lots of diverse animals makes it a great game.

On the next update make blood trails and this game will be perfect...

Tried free version paid for full version but game ends everytime at 7 min 37 secs!!! Glitch? Help!!! Advice?

Awesome game is hard but in a nice way takes time and skill to progress, Hmmm Cloverking 7mins 37 sounds like you just playing the short drive through game which is designed that way you can play the Hunt mode which you can stop the jeep at any time and play for hours, last time i checked top times on leaderboards they were like 3hrs, wish I could survive that long, thou the fun is in the game of hunting and its unpredictable nature.

Takes a very long time to load but fun over all.
